An employer can receive $9500 for a first year apprentice and $5000 each year after for the duration of the apprenticeship as an incentive to hiring a person with dyslexia. TAFE also receives $5000 to support the student.

All you need to do is take your current assessment for Dyslexia (must be dated within the last two years to be current) either to the person who originally assessed you or to your GP for confirmation that the condition still exists. This is called a medical verification form.

It is great to see the amount of support that exists OUT OF SCHOOL!
